Alan & Chris Amdahl
Alan Amdahl is a common sense Midwestern Business owner of Alan Amdahl Construction Co. based in Sioux Falls. Under the tutelage of his father,Dean, Alan has mastered the art of constructing homes. That led to designing, drafting and erecting custom homes, remodel- ing and even some light commerical construction. Alan has learned the the values of responsibility and hard work, along with the importance of keeping his word. He has been in the business 26+ years. Alan has been very active the last 18 years in Home Builders. He has served as local president as well as State President of the South
Dakota Home Builders Association (SDHBA) in 2003-2004. Alan has served on and chaired numerous committees within the HBA’s. He also serves as a National Director of the National Association of Home Builders.
Outside the HBA, Amdahl is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association. Alan and his wife, Chris, who is also in the business, live in Sioux Falls and have three children, Annette, Alana, and Clark. In their spare time, the Amdahl's enjoy scuba diving, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and flying.
